Eray Karabiyik

In Fall 2026, I will start as a postdoctoral researcher at Hetao Institute of Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (HIMIS).

Before HIMIS, I was a PhD student at Cornell University under the supervision of David Zywina. I am broadly interested in number theory and arithmetic geometry. My work focuses on computational aspects of modular curves, GL2-type abelian varieties, gonality of algebraic curves and various descent phenomenon.

For any papers in preparation below, you can send me an email to get informed, or obtain a draft.
